This large exterior renovation project was a collaboration between Foundation Homes, Garland Design and ourselves. We worked to the landscape architect’s plan and used a number of features to bring this hardscape to life. With the use of feature pots, planting climbers, pergola’s and raised gardens we softened a 2D landscape in to a 3D landscape adding pops of colour and a Mediterranean twist. By adding an olive tree and matured frangipani we bought rustic charm to a modern landscape.
This garden was a stunning master piece which secured Ground Force Landscapes as finalists in the Landscape Queensland Awards.
Owners at this prestigious Noosa Waters property wanted to upgrade their outdoors to give a luxurious ‘resort feel’ retreat in-keeping with the high end finish of their freshly renovated home.
We started by excavating the site and removing in excess of 80 tonnes of dirt and 20 large palm trees.
The owners chose a natural stone travertine which we then laid in French Pattern on a fresh concrete slab around the new pool and surrounding entertaining areas. The in ground pool was constructed by the team at Monsoon Pools.
Travertine was also used throughout the front entry and access paths keeping the texture and colour palate consistent.
Due to the shade factor a synthetic (enviro turf) lawn was chosen for a large 60m2. Enviro turf is a great way to brighten up an existing area where grass lawn struggles to thrive as well as making the area much more usable.
We completed the landscape by installing all new garden beds filled with all new soil and plants. The beds were edged with aluminium link edge.
A simple but effective contemporary native landscape to soften the modern architecture and help blend the property in to the natural environment. Natives suit our sub tropical climate and are hardy, drought tolerant and low maintenance. Planting concepts on this landscape were thoughtfully planned and drawn up by Coco Dash Landscape Architecture.
We undertook this stunning rural landscape project in collaboration with Coco Dash Landscape Architecture. The property was a new build, located in a high, exposed position with steep slopes and created a number of interesting challenges. Importantly we needed to consider water control and ensure water was steered away from the tennis court. A ‘Modern Contemporary’ planting brief was used to soften the house using contemporary native’s and tree’s were selected to buffer winds in certain areas. All aspects were thoughtfully considered and planting to the exterior of each bedroom ensures additional privacy in those areas. The addition of a large outdoor entertaining area with firepit, which we blended seamlessly in to the environment finished off this wow factor hinterland landscape.
The brief was to deliver a hardy, on trend pool renovation and garden that could stand up to all weathers. Being a north facing garden and only 300m from the ocean front this seaside garden is open to all elements. Natural stone was a must and in keeping with the colour palate of the property. The pool interior was stripped back to bare bones and prepped for new pebblecrete. A waterline mosaic tile was chosen to ‘pop’ against the new grey bullnose coping. A large hardwood timber deck was constructed to maximise the usable area around the pool. A hedge was planted and with a little patience was later able to be cut in to shape. We used a frameless pool glass on marine grade stainless steel spigots. We also enjoyed creating a stunning outdoor shower with views to the ocean.
The owners of this beautiful Castaways home wanted to transform their garden and bring it up to the standard of their newly renovated property. This was a large project involving a complete pool renovation and extensive paving. The same stone paver was used in various areas, including the large formal entrance to the home which kept the theme and colour palate consistent throughout. A new timber deck was added, we retained, excavated and extended garden beds, added a multitude of new plants to complement existing, and finished the landscape with a stunning new lawn.
